The Local Management Committee (LMC) includes:
- The executive directors of each County’s Assistance Office
- A representative from each County’s CareerLink
- The Fiscal Agent
- Representatives of local education and economic development agencies
The committee manages and directs the local operation of contracted welfare programs in the Southern Alleghenies Workforce Investment Area.
The LMC is responsible for delivering services, preparing bids, selecting subcontractors, providing case management, offering support services, and developing job placement and retention strategies.
Members meet at least monthly to discuss overall management issues and to review the progress made achieving the performance requirements for each contracted service.
