Draft FY 2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)
The Southern Alleghenies Planning & Development Commission (SAP&DC) serves as the Rural Planning Organization (RPO) for rural transportation planning and programming for the rural counties of Bedford, Fulton, Huntingdon, and Somerset. SAP&DC, in coordination with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and the four rural counties, has prepared the region’s Draft FY 2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP includes prioritized highway, bridge, transit, air, and transportation enhancement projects for the four rural counties for the four-year period.
The Draft FY 2011-2014 TIP is available for a 30-day public review and comment period beginning on June 7, 2010. Copies of the document are available for review at the following locations:

- PennDOT District 9-0, Hollidaysburg, PA
- Bedford County Planning Commission, Bedford, PA
- Fulton County Planning Commission, McConnellsburg, PA
- Huntingdon County Planning Commission, Huntingdon, PA
- Somerset County Planning Commission, Somerset, PA

Public hearings to discuss the Draft FY 2011-2014 TIP have been scheduled at the following locations:
- June 15, 2010 @ 1:30 PM, Fulton County Commissioners Office, 116 Market Street, Suite 203, McConnellsburg, PA 17233
- June 23, 2010 @ 6:00 PM, Huntingdon County Courthouse Annex, 223 Penn Street, Huntingdon, PA 16652
- June 24, 2010 @ 1:30 PM, Somerset County Office Building, Fifth Floor, 300 N. Center Ave., Somerset, PA 15501
- June 24, 2010 @ 5:00 PM, Bedford County Office Building, Room 101, 200 S. Juliana Street, Bedford, PA 15522
The Southern Alleghenies Rural Transportation Coordinating Committee will approve the FY 2011-2014 TIP at a public meeting on July 14, 2010. The meeting begins at 9:00 AM at SAP&DC, 541 58th Street, Altoona, PA 16602.
