As a recognized Economic Development District (EDD) and Local Development District (LDD), SAP&DC provides planning investment and grant assistance for programs that stimulate the regional economy of The Alleghenies.
The Commission offers planning and technical assistance in preparing applications for grants from the Economic Development Administration (EDA), the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) and other federal and state programs.
These programs are intended to promote economic development, infrastructure, and job creation. The Commission can provide assistance with project planning, project development and proposal packaging for local economic developers, planners, municipal officials, and non-profit organizations seeking to develop programs.
The Commission has significant combined experience in economic development, public infrastructure development, environmental resources, business finance, marketing, regional data, transportation, land use, telecommunications and information systems, management and capacity building/leadership.
The Commission’s extensive knowledge base of federal and state programs can supply the right information to turn a proposed project into a reality.
SAP&DC presents ideas and initiatives, frames choices, encourages further thinking, and summarizes alternatives for better decision-making.
