Government contracting includes the Federal, State, Local and sub-contracting marketplaces. The federal, the individual state governments and local governments seek to do business, on a competitive basis, with competent businesses that can supply products and services as required by manufacturing and/or delivery specifications and schedules.
The government market is large and growing. The federal government alone is the largest consumer of supplies and services in the world! With small business goals, no other market provides more potential opportunity for small business than government contracting.
The Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) provides one-on-one counseling to businesses guiding them through vendor qualifying criteria and to the appropriate market entry points while instructing them on the protocols and procedures for each market.
