CURVES ON LOCAL ROADS 4 PDHS

Part of a series of courses this course will focus on studies for determining the application of curve warning signs and other safety features for curves. The course will also examine other features germane to curve safety, including pavement quality, superelevation, shoulder edge drop-offs, clear zones, and fixed object hazards. Students will be able to explore the application of curve warning signs through several real examples, including a field visit to nearby curved roadway segments.

Intended Audience: This course is intended for local government officials responsible for the installation, maintenance, and inspection of traffic signs, roadway safety, and asset management. This includes traffic technicians, public works directors, supervisors, roadmasters, and crew responsible for traffic signs.
