Within the federal government, no agency spends more dollars on procurement than the Department of Defense (DoD), in excess of $375 billion in FY 2011 alone – on nearly every product or service imaginable.
DoD welcomes new vendors that can provide quality products and services on time and at a reasonable price, as it strives to expand its supplier base.
When considering doing business with the DoD, companies can find opportunities with the military branches of the Army, Navy and Air Force, as well as lesser known Defense Agencies such as the Defense Logistics Agency or the Defense Commissary Agency. Please see the Resources page on this website for links to various entry points into the DoD marketplace.
The DoD Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) exists to assist small businesses in their contracting efforts. Visit the DoD OSBP for guidance on doing business with the Department of Defense.
